Personality: Tissy is very much an independent mare, we are her slaves and she puts up with us. She shows love in the form of a whinney and allowing us to give her attention. On the trail she is a pro, I would happily give her the reins and close my eyes on the most difficult track, she would choose the best route and keep us safe. She loves to go out and about, at home she’s a very relaxed, almost doppy mare. As soon as she gets off the ramp at an event it’s like trying to hold onto an overexcited pogo stick. She knows her job so well, she’ll switch completely off in vet gates and then whiz out onto the next loop, ears pricked, and ready to rumble. I’ve had Tissy since I was 10 years old and you just can’t explain the kind of bond you develop over that time. She still spooks and prances out on hacks but nothing she does suprises me, it’s like we’re one.
